拜兩岸小三通之賜, 我終於到金門走了一遭, 雖因錯過廈門回金門的最後一班船而沒能在金門住一晚, 我隔天一早搭了第一班船來到金門, 騎摩托車啪啪走. 天氣很熱, 連黃牛都躲在樹陰下懶懶地看著我來來去去. 喝了杯服務員說幾乎沒酒精感覺的毛澤東奶茶(奶茶+金門高梁), 結果喝酒肉腳我還是暈了一陣子, 還好陽光下酒精蒸發的快, 就當慶祝回台灣吧~ :-)
金門為台灣前哨戰的痕跡到處可見, 貫穿地底的通道當初救人無數, 直至今日很多軍事設施或建設整理後被保留下來, 但有些區域的地雷都還沒有清乾淨, 實在很難想像六十年前戰況的慘烈.
On the way back to Taiwan, I stopped by Kinmen, an off-shore island of Taiwan, for one day. It was hot. The cow was lazy lying in the shadow of the tree and staring at me riding the motocycle back and forth. I tried a special drink, milk tea plus the local sorghum liquor, which the waitress said that I would hardly feel any alcohol in. As usual, I am not good at alcohol, but luckily the sun took the dizzy feeling away quicky.
Kinmen has been the battleground for defense of Taiwan's coast. Since it's very close to China, during the war time the battles have left many marks on the island. The tunnels underground saved many lives from the bombs. There are many military facilities preserved. Even till today, certain area is still prohibited from walking through because landmines have not been totally removed.
