Australia - 2002/09/30 ~ 2002/10/13

I took two weeks off on September and October, year 2002. Honestly I chosen Australia as the destination was because I needed at least one month for Europe. Beyond my expectations, I love Australia, with charming pace. Life should be like that. Notheing is big deal, but rule is still existed. It's definitely a paradise especially for vacation or retirement.

This time I visited three cities, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, and went horse riding and bridge climbing. Next time I hope I could visit Tasmania, Great Barrier Reef Islands, Cairns, or any other spots, and I hope I could learn diving or skydiving. There are so many places waiting for exploration.

USA - 2001

The second time I visited USA was when I graduated from the university. I participated in a program, name "Work and Travel in USA" to visit USA for three and half months. I connected with the boss and got the student job when I was in Taiwan. In the first two months, I worked in a restaurant in the North Carolina. After that I traveled around USA and visited some cities.

When 911 happened, I was at Washington DC. Four days later, I visited New York.

It's my first backpacking trip, and it's exactly the trigger for my enthusiasm about traveling.

Indonesia - Bali - Flying in the cockpit - 2001/01/15

January 15, 2001, and unforgettable day, I had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit, flying to Denpasar and back to Taipei. Ten hours in the sky, everything, except for the sun and the stars, is under my feet, and I finally realized what a beautiful sight a bird must see.



Thanks for the senior's project about the workload evaluation of pilots. It was a very valuable experience because at that time I really liked airplanes and wanted to work for the business administration at airlines. :)

Thailand - Pucket - 2000

Before graduating from the university, my class took a trip to Pucket during the summer in year 2000. We enjoyed the beach, played beach volleyballs, boated, took cruises, rode elephants, swam in the river/ocean, and most importantly, we shared the great time together for five days.

China - Yangtze River - 1994

Year 1994 I visited China with lots artists, such as writers, painters, calligraphers, and photographers. The purpose of the trip was to build up the communication by art between Taiwan and China. All the delegates from China and Taiwan spent five days together on a cruise ship and tried to record the trip by their specialty. Along the Yangtze River, the writers wrote the scenery, the painters painted the landscape, the photographers took photos of the scene, and etc. Except for the great art shows, I saw many impressive grand sights in China. It's shame most of the scenery will be under water after the dam construction.



Unexpectedly there was a culture shock on me. I learned even we are sprung from the same ancestors, we are different because of different education. Traveling, learning to communicate with people from diverse countries and cultures, and enjoying the world...

USA - 1993

The first time I visited USA was when I just graduated from junior high school. It was a group trip with my mom and her colleagues. We visited Hawaii, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas for 13 days.

ok. Don't laugh too hard. Although I don't want to admit, the girl (trust me, it's a girl) in the photo was me in high school. :P

Japan - Okinawa1990

It's my first trip abroad. Although it's long time ago, I remembered that the white-sands beach and the politeness of Japanese were quite impressive.

One episode is that before the trip I coincidently finished reading a book about the Nanking Massacre, with lots cruel photos. Therefore in fact during that trip, sometimes I didn't feel comfortable while dealing with Japanese. Now I know that it's history, but at that time I was too young to distinguish.

Hope I could visit Japan again soon, experiencing the country from a different point of view. :)
